What is your background?

've always been enthusiastic about technology and ending up in IT was no surprise. I also enjoy solving complex puzzles and combining the two tendencies means a natural leaning towards support and bug fixing.

What is your job at Parsek?

I work as the head of IT support. My job description includes analyzing and solving problems when they occur, organizing tasks within the support development team and coordinating closely with system administration. I am responsible for communicating with clients regarding technical matters and coordinating with their IT departments. One of my key strengths is the ability to keep a cool head in stressful situations. I have more than 10 years of experience in web development, using a multitude of different technologies with emphasis on quickly identifying problems, profiling application performance and covering security related issues. My primary focus in the past few years has been in Java EE and enterprise portals, specifically Liferay Enterprise portal and in gaining healthcare IT specific knowledge.

Why did you choose to work at Parsek?

I joined Parsek as a student in 2007, and have remained ever since. Working at Parsek constantly provides new challenges and opportunities to gain new experience and skills. Going to work in the past few years has rarely been a »chore« as there has always been some interesting new problem to solve or new technology to explore.
