Mid-Level Java Developer (Ljubljana)
Join Parsek, part of Open Line Group! We are seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer to join our team in Ljubljana. You'll be an integral part of our mission to develop, deliver, and maintain our core suite of products, serving both current and future customers.
The job: We develop complex web applications integrated with healthcare IT systems, adhering to IHE and HL7 standards. Our goal is to provide a seamless, inspiring, and efficient experience for both healthcare professionals and patients. Our applications enhance collaboration and coordination of patient care beyond hospital walls, offering patients convenient access to care services and health information.
The team: You join our R&D team, reporting to the Head of Development, with content guidance from your team lead. We follow an agile methodology and highly value proactive, team-oriented individuals committed to project success. Our structured work environment includes daily and weekly meetings, and you will be actively involved in scrum procedures.
As a member of our team, you will:
- Develop and document enhancements to our solutions according to planned release scopes and timelines, adhering to company development processes and standards.
- Work independently on tasks from analysis and design through to documentation, implementation, and unit/integration testing.
- Proactively seek and propose optimizations for development processes and technologies.
You are a perfect fit if you:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Java development
- Good knowledge of Java EE / Jakarta EE (CDI, JPA / Hibernate, etc)
- Experience with REST APIs, server- and client-side
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Good knowledge of Git and Maven
- Good communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
It is considered a plus, if you have:
- Knowledge of HL7 FHIR or other IHE and HL7 Standards and profiles
- Knowledge of Ansible, Jenkins and Vagrant
- Experience with Keycloak, OpenID Connect, SAML 2
- Deep interest and broad knowledge in IT technologies with the ability to propose relevant to Parsek’s solutions
We offer:
Full-time employment for an indefinite period with 6 months trial period with structured onboarding process and mentorship. It is a hybrid role, requiring some days to be worked in the Ljubljana office while allowing remote work from home or another location on other days. Network Engineer (Ljubljana)

The job: As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining network equipment such as firewalls, switches, and routers, while providing ongoing support for our customers. Each day will bring new experiences as you engage with various environments and projects. In addition to partnering with Cisco and Palo Alto, you may also have the opportunity to collaborate with other vendors.
The team: You will join the Intercompany Services department at Parsek. This department is unique because its team members are integrated into the daily operations of Open Line, the leading managed services provider in the Netherlands. You will be part of one of Open Line's customer teams, each of which supports clients within specific industries such as logistics, healthcare, or government. Each customer team is multidisciplinary, consisting of approximately 15 specialized IT professionals (Network, Linux, and Microsoft). You will work alongside other network engineers at Open Line, fostering collaboration and expertise.
As a member of our team, you will:
- Manage and maintain networking equipment (firewalls, switches, routers).
- Provide ongoing network support for our customers.
- Collaborate on incident resolution and problem analysis.
- Contribute to the maintenance, expansion, and innovation of client network systems.
- Participate in project teams for onboarding new customers and implementing networking infrastructures.
You are a perfect fit if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 4+ years of network engineering experience, preferably in managed services.
- Possess strong proficiency in network infrastructure components and protocols, as well as network security knowledge.
- Have a Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification or additional network security certifications are a plus.
- Are highly proficient in written and spoken English.
- Can work effectively in a team, with experience in remote work settings being preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation.
- Exhibit exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
We offer:
