Today we attended the 3rd Interntional Scientific Conference HealthOnline 2019, organised by the Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana (Slovenia). The conference is addressing the aspects of comprehensive digitisation of health and search for solutions in connecting to health ecosystems.
We were invited to share our expertise and best practices gained by delivering eHealth solutions in the domain of digital healthcare transformation.
Parsek’s Medical consultant Julij Šelb and Head of user experience Tomaž Hočevar presented the distinctive value of our Vitaly Managed Care through the eyes of healthcare professionals and patients, elaborated on our recent project WelLPRES Cancer Recovery Programme (UK).
First part covered by Julij Šelb was dedicated to presenting the evidence-based studies, showing how digitally coordinated and personalised care can contribute to improved health outcomes in the outpatient setting.
When analysing the software solutions in the presented studies, Julij noticed that all studies have used a dedicated solution designed and suitable only for a particular use-case (advanced cancer, hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, etc). However, the distinctive value of the Vitaly Managed Care lies in the modularity of the solution that is able to cover different medical use cases in a single platform.
In the second part, our Tomaž Hočevar shared his expertise, emphasising the inclusion of the user-centred approach to the development of our Vitaly solutions that can support healthcare professionals in delivering patient care more efficiently. The core concept of user-centered design is to offer the software that meets the end-users’ needs, which is more likely to make them productive and happy. If they are more productive and happy, they’ll use the product more often and recommend it among their peers, which will be beneficial for the whole ecosystem.
The principles presented above were considered when implementing the Vitaly Managed Care within the WelLPRES Cancer Recovery Programme project (UK), of which you can read more about in the following link: https://parsek.com/references/wellpres-cancer-recovery-programme.
