Access to relevant and trustworthy information is a crucial part of assuring optimal health outcomes, making patients feel supported and encouraging them to self-care safely.
However, research shows that patients often lack good information about their diagnosis, treatment options, and how best to recover and live well, which can lead to poorer outcomes and higher service utilisation rates. A survey by Patient Information Forum & MHP Communications from 2015 revealed that 36% of patients with a long-term condition say they are not given helpful information when first diagnosed, and 32% of patients state it is difficult to access trustworthy information. According to the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (CPES, 2018), 120,000 cancer patients per year also say that the long-term side effects of treatment were not fully explained to them.
A new partnership in the United Kingdom
We are excited to announce a partnership with Recap Health, which aims to tackle the challenges outlined above by providing a digital platform that specialises in supplying trusted educational materials for patients in the United Kingdom. In March 2022, the Recap Health team successfully completed the Vitaly Associate and Sales Consultant trainings, getting acquainted with Parsek’s Vitaly offering.
“We are delighted to be in a partnership with our friends at Parsek Group. Patients often don’t understand both the pathway they are on and how to self-care effectively as they progress along it. Now Recap Health, interoperating with Parsek’s sophisticated Vitaly Care Coordination platform can solve these important problems. Together we are clearing away the ‘fog’ in healthcare.”
“Furthermore, it’s our belief that in future, NHS Trusts and ICS’s will want to commission and use digital platforms that offer comprehensive, one-stop services for clinicians and patients. This new partnership is a great example of how digital health companies can help make this easier to do.”
We believe that Vitaly Coordinated care, our tool for managing personalised care pathways enhanced with Recap Health’s patient education capabilities presents a powerful and comprehensive tool for managing and optimising outpatient care.
